MaineOur 2016 super trip to Maine was the first trip we planned on the east coast. We set up camp in Camden, and spent five days taking various day trips. We had the opportunity to hike in Acadia, explore the Penobscot Bridge and Fort Knox, sail on the Appledore II Schooner, tour the state capital and museums, and visit Bath Maritime Museum. Before heading to Boston, we ended our Maine visit with a shopping trip to L.L. Bean.
While in Boston, we saw the Boston Red Sox play in Fenway Park, visited the JFK Library, walked the Freedom Trail, toured the USS Constitution and walked to Bunker Hill. |
UTAHIn 2014, we went to Utah. This trip kept us busy as we hiked the many sites in the area. Our first stop to set up camp near near Zion National Park. We spent time exploring parts of Zion, including hiking the Narrows, and the trail that lead us to the Emerald Pools. We then headed out for Bryce Canyon. We hiked the Navajo Trail at Bryce Canyon before experiencing the magnificent site of the Hoodoos. Our last stop was near Salt Lake City. We toured the state capital, Temple Square, splashed around at a water park, floating in the Great Salt Lake, and took a couple of smaller hikes. We even experienced truck stop showers before departing for home.
